Senior Paediatric Dietitian 

Part-Time | 2 Day Per Week | Kingsley, WA

​

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Senior Paediatric Dietitian to join our team. This specialised clinical role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families who are experiencing mealtime and feeding challenges.

 

Location: Kingsley, Western Australia, with work from home options.
FTE: 0.4 FTE
Employment Type: Part-Time, Permanent

 

About the Position

In this role, you will work with infants and children experiencing a range of dietetic needs, including:

  • Tube feeding

  • ARFID

  • Food selectivity and restrictive eating

  • Tube-to-oral transition support

  • Infant feeding difficulties

  • Allergies

  • Growth faltering

  • Eating & mealtime differences associated with developmental delays, autism, complex medical conditions and other diagnoses

 

You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualised intervention plans, and work collaboratively with families and multidisciplinary team members to achieve positive mealtime outcomes. 

 

There is also potential for the right candidate to contribute to the development and presentation of professional development resources.

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for infants, children, and adolescents with diverse medical, developmental, and feeding needs.

  • Provide evidence-based nutrition interventions that support growth, development and medical stability for children with a range of complex nutrition needs.

  • Monitor and evaluate client progress and adjust care plans as needed.

  • Work collaboratively with GPs, Paediatricians, Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, and other allied health professionals to ensure coordinated multidisciplinary care.

  • Participate in multidisciplinary feeding team appointments and collaborate with colleagues on shared client care.

  • Complete and maintain accurate, timely and compliant clinical documentation, reports and feeding plans in accordance with practice policies and legal standards.

 

About You

Essential:

  • Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) with Dietitians Australia

  • Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience working with paediatric populations

  • Demonstrated ability to apply evidence-based dietetic knowledge to paediatric patient management

  • Strong understanding of Paediatric Feeding Disorder and ARFID

  • Demonstrated ability to provide safe patient care

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Engage in continuing professional development in paediatric nutrition

  • Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)

  • Current National Police Clearance (or equivalent NDIS Worker Screening Check)

 

Highly Desirable:

  • Postgraduate training in paediatric nutrition and responsive approaches to paediatric feeding 

  • Knowledge of the NDIS

  • Australian drivers licence
